THE BRIEF
When M/Y WW first arrived in New Zealand, Avid were engaged to document and overhaul its onboard AV and control systems for charter use. The brief was to deliver intuitive entertainment throughout the yacht, and bring existing and new CCTV cameras together within a single video management system.
THE RESULT
A Control4 system brings entertainment and control together through fixed and mobile touchpanels, with handheld remotes in the cabins. Every cabin features audio and video streaming endpoints as well as Freeview digital TV, while a motorised TV lift in the master cabin keeps the screen tucked away when not in use. The Master Cabin and Main Saloon feature 5.1 surround sound setups.
Marine grade speakers and subwoofers deliver sound across exterior decks, with a simple party mode linking all entertainment zones during a charter. A UniFi network supports onboard connectivity, and the new CCTV video management system unifies the yacht’s existing cameras with newly installed cameras for expanded coverage.
