THE BRIEF
Having supported S/Y Encore since her launch in 2013, Avid’s directors have built a long-standing relationship with the vessel and her crew, providing technical support both locally and around the world.
For Encore’s 2026 refit, the focus was on upgrading and refining the onboard technology, incorporating the latest advancements while ensuring systems remained reliable, flexible and ready for future expansion. A key part of the project was a comprehensive overhaul of the vessel’s network infrastructure, providing the connectivity and performance needed to support a modern entertainment system with streaming services available throughout the yacht.
THE RESULT
Crestron remains the backbone of Encore’s AV and control systems, providing reliable and flexible control of both entertainment and navigation. Audio and video can be distributed throughout the vessel, allowing entertainment sources, CCTV and navigation charts to be viewed wherever required onboard.
As part of the refit, Starlink and Peplink were introduced for global internet connectivity, alongside a new Ruckus wireless network providing comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage throughout the yacht. Together, these upgrades enabled the expansion of modern streaming services to every cabin onboard, while also allowing Avid to deliver remote technical support wherever Encore’s travels take her.
Through ongoing upgrades, maintenance and technical support, Avid continues to keep Encore’s systems current and dependable. From her 2013 launch through to the completed 2026 refit, the vessel remains one of our longest-standing client relationships.
