THE BRIEF
Introduced to Sereno during her 2024 New Zealand refit, Avid was engaged to upgrade the AV technology throughout the vessel. With Sereno primarily operating as a charter yacht in the Mediterranean, the focus was on delivering a high-quality entertainment experience that was simple and intuitive for guests to use, with a particular focus on first-time users.
THE RESULT
A Control4-based AV system was installed throughout the cabins, lounges and outdoor decks, with TVs, ceiling speakers and handheld remotes providing easy access to entertainment in every area.
Each zone has its own dedicated streaming endpoint, allowing guests to enjoy their own music and video content independently. Audio zones can also be grouped together, bringing music to multiple areas or across the entire yacht in party mode.
A standout feature is the Sky Lounge, where a motorised 100-inch projection screen and 4K projector transform the space into an open-air cinema after dark, providing a unique entertainment experience for guests.
An NX Witness CCTV system was also installed, providing comprehensive video surveillance and an easy-to-use platform for monitoring and reviewing footage throughout the vessel.
The result is a versatile entertainment system that offers plenty of functionality without unnecessary complexity, making it equally suited to relaxed cruising, entertaining and the demands of a busy charter vessel.
